Bike maintenance is something anyone can learn.

Knowing how to fix your own bike gives you the freedom to ride alone. It also helps you to take control of your cycling and have confidence in yourself. Active Cycle Coaching can help with your bike maintenance needs, from servicing to fix your own bike workshops.

When the parts of a bike and how to fit, adjust and maintain them is broken down into manageable chunks, the whole machine becomes easy to  understand.

Learning bike maintenance at an Active Cycle Coaching workshop
Fixing a puncture is a great skill to learn.

Active Cycle Coaching is currently developing a range of bike maintenance workshops to do just this. At present, puncture repair workshops are offered in Corstorphine, Edinburgh. Workshops are led by Velotech Gold qualified bike mechanic, Diana Farrell. All workshops focus on hands-on experience. Workshops run with a maximum of six participants to ensure that everyone gets the experience and support they need.

At present, many of the Active Cycle Coaching bike maintenance workshops are run as women-only sessions in response to demand. Workshops can also be arranged for groups or individuals as requested.
